Hello all!
My name is Cassidy Suggett and I am a student at the University of Redlands. I am starting this GoFundMe because ever since I was a freshman, I have always wanted to study abroad in Antigua, Guatemala through the program offered by my school. There, I will be helping children with speech and learning disabilites. I also have the opportunity to observe several programs that serve children with special language and learning needs, and to interact with local professionals. This trip will be extremely beneficial to my future career. I am a Communicative Disorders major with a Spanish minor who is working hard to become a Speech Pathologist. Not only will this travel course allow me to gain experience in the Speech pathology field, but it will also give me a chance to converse with native spanish speakers. I have never really traveled out of the country before, so if I am able to take this opportunity, I would be eternally grateful! However, I cannot afford the trip on my own. I still need to pay the course's remaining fee to my University, along with my airfare to Guatemala. I need to raise the money by December 15th. I am reaching out to you in hopes to get any sort of help to participate in this amazing opportunity. Anything helps!
