Help us continue to save wildlife..

Sky Harbor began saving wildlife in Florida in 1996, from a home in Tarpon Springs.  In 2005 it was relocated to two beautiful  acres in Hudson and was expanded. Donations of all kinds helped build large enclosures and pens.  A donation of huge zoo cages a few years later created a safe and secure environment for recovering wildlife.  Wonderful donations from generous supporters kept the enter open and running and able to accept literally hundreds of injured and orphaned wildlife for years.  In 2015, the director and founder found herself on her own with the sudden death of her long time partner, Dave.  This last year and a half has been a struggle to continue the work of saving wildilfe.  Living on a fixed SSI income and with donations swindling it became very difficult to continue admitting wildlife in need.   Many cages and enclosures, now 10 yrs old or more are in need of repair.  The property line fencing that secures the wildlife area is falling and needs all new posts.  The chain link fence project donated by boy scouts many years ago is in need of repair as well.  We need new roofs on some, the food room is in need of repair to keep food and supplies dry and our big duck enclosure in literally  rotting away and leaning badly.  Donations are not coming in like they once did, not only are we unable to feed and medicate animals coming in, we need may repairs to the center.
At this time, we need to raise money to repair outside housing, roofs and to replenish supplies if we are to continue the work we have done for the last  20 years.  Rescuing and saving animals has been the passion of the director all her life. If we cannot raise funding to repair and maintain the center, it is possible Sky Harbor will be in danger of closing.  Sky Harbor has always done the work with the support of the community to continue.  Please help Sky Harbor to stay open and help our wildlife.
