LaCombe Family Support

As many of you know Shawn just had surgery to remove her hip so her body can heal from a staph infection.  Currently she has very little support in her hip area and can put no weight onto one side of her body.  Doctors hope within 6 weeks to 3 months she will be able to get a new artificial hip.  Once an artificial hip is in, there will be a long rehab process to get back to walking normally.  Due to this lengthy process Shawn will be out of work anywhere from 6 months up to 1 year and Rick will be taking a leave from work to help care for Shawn. 

As you can imagine, having both of them out of work along with medical bills is a huge stress to an already stressful situation.  Many people have asked how they can help.  Therefore we have started this page to see if we can help relieve some of the financial stress from the medical bills along with the costs of traveling and staying in Chicago for medical care.
