Help Cameron Take His Life Back From Epileptic Seizures

In 2021, after 3 Grand Mal (tonic-clonic) seizures, Cameron was diagnosed with epilepsy. His seizures have remained under control since then, until June 2024. Out of the blue, Cameron had a Grand Mal (tonic-clinic) seizure in the middle of a restaurant around dinner time. His seizures have always occurred during the early morning hours, so this was a shock to both of us. This seizure left him with a black eye, bruised ribs and a dislocated left arm. His arm was placed back in its socket and he was faced with many weeks of healing time.
His seizures were once again under control until September 2024 when he had another one unexpectedly. Since this time, he has had 6 more seizures. All at random times and random places, but mostly at home thankfully. His left shoulder has been dislocated 2 more times during this time and now he’s actually dislocated his right one. One of the seizures was so violent he dislocated both at one time.
We have been working with the doctors to try and get his seizures under control, but without health insurance, we are extremely limited. The ambulance rides and ER bills have been piling up and it’s been very difficult to pay these bills that have incurred on top of the high cost of living these days.
Our next step will be to have an EEG test done over a weekend to see what is actually triggering these seizures and what they have damaged. He also has to have shoulder surgery on his left shoulder to repair the damage so that the dislocations will cease.
He has been denied Medicaid and the hospital is working to help get some of these bills taken care of.
With all of these ahead of us, we are struggling to live and pay bills at the same time, so we are asking anyone that is able to help us in any way to please support us.
Please help me to help my 20 year old son back to himself so that he is able to thrive as he was prior to all of this.
I don’t like asking for any kind of help, but this has been extremely difficult for us. At this point, we have no choice but to ask.
