The Battle With Cancer Continues.

Jesse Searles has been officially diagnosed with Stage 4 Thymic Neoplasm cancer.
Thymic Neoplasm is a very rare form of cancer. Thymic neoplasms are tumors that develop in the thymus gland. The thymus gland sits in the upper chest area just behind the breastbone. Its purpose is to make white blood cells that protect against infection. There are different types of Thymic Neoplasms. The one he has been diagnosed with is called Thymoma. Thymoma is a tumor of the thymus involving the cells on the outside surface of the thymus gland. But it is still very rare and not all doctors agree about the best way to describe and classify these tumors. The survival rate is not very high.
Jesse has been in the HVAC(Heating, ventilation and air conditioning) field for over 25 years. He started as a worker and moved his way to to supervising. We recently moved to Chico California and Jesse he got a job here. Since he has been diagnosed he has not been able to work. His wife, Emily, is also very ill with a rare back disease that attacks her spinal cord and nerves. She is not able has been and has been a stay at home mom since their son was born. Jesse is the hardest working man I know. I can barely remember any times he even took a sick day! He has provided for his family their whole lives and now he isn't able to work and live the way he deserves.
This has been one of the most difficult things the family has had to endure. They are in fear of not being able to afford the house they currently rent. They are in fear of not being able to make car payments. They are in fear of not being able to pay medical bills. They are in fear of losing the man we all love most. But they will never give up!
He is undergoing Chemotherapy every 3 weeks. This is the most difficult time for him and our family. After he gets his treatment he gets so sick he is unable to eat. He also has all of the common side effects. Even when he is feeling better it is very hard for him to eat. Especially the things he has eaten his whole life. He's also unable to do a lot of his hobbies that improved his quality of life.
Our family is doing everything we can do to make him as comfortable as possible while he goes through this difficult time in his life. We are reaching out to our family, friends and neighbors asking for any help they can give. We are asking for donations on Gofundme. We are also in need of food, bed sheets/blankets and a few more things. But really anything helps, especially your prayers ,positive energy and love! Thanks for all the support, if you have any questions please contact Rachel or Jesse for more information.
