I've wondered what to write for this funding effort. To ask for your help with the medical bills that I have incurred related to my dog's recent surgery. It's a lot of money- and if you are in the very least an animal lover, and maybe a friend... You know there was no question about my decision to go ahead with the surgery to remove a large mass from his abdomen.- A decision that was a life saving one. Today when I looked down at him and gave him a scratch and snuggle and called him " my baby boy" , I knew the decision was a no brainer .
Xander is a good natured 11 year old Bedlington terrier who has given me way more than I could ever give back.. But you can imagine that I try. I got him as a 12 week old grey ball of fur at a great time of my life. I sang to him while he got used to being away from his birth mates and was getting used to being my little man. He got some tutoring from my little girl dog, Gracie ( since passed) on being part of a people family and the only " guy". He learned to lift his leg and be an awesome snuggler and great player at "catch".
He has since traveled with me to a different city after a tough family break up. I can't express what he has given to me in companionship with such a good and sweet nature ... So yeah, there is nothing I wouldn't do to give him a good life as long as he is able to enjoy it. The fact that " I couldn't 't afford it" ... just wasn't part of the equation. I was lucky enough to be able to borrow the money to pay for his surgery and as yet I don't know the final costs. It's already a few thousand. So, friends and fellow dog lovers, any help you can give to help me retire this debt would be greatly appreciated. from my heart...Thank you!
