Tori Takes on Her Brain Tumor

Hello Friends —
I’ve created this fundraiser today for an incredibly special person in my life — someone I’ve spent my entire life searching for — my dream girl, my soulmate: My beautiful and courageous girlfriend Tori (I call her Vic).
For those of you who don’t know her story — she was diagnosed with a Stage 2 Astrocytoma (brain tumor) in November 2020 where she immediately underwent treatment recommendations from a team of Oncologists working alongside her primary care physician. They started strong with weekly steroid injections that were injected into her spine in order to alleviate migraines and vertigo symptoms she was experiencing due to her tumor. They were also administered in the hopes of shrinking her tumor. Unfortunately, these injections proved both painful and unsuccessful in providing the results they were hoping for.
THE GOOD NEWS
This led to a recommendation from her doctor to undergo a stem cell treatment that would run its course through her body in the hopes of reducing the size of her tumor. She underwent this stem cell procedure in December 2020 and it was successful; reducing her tumor by 2%!!! This was INCREDIBLE news to hear for everyone involved and finally welcomed a hint of optimism into her life.
As the treatment finishes its cycle in her body her team of oncologists and doctor are wanting to administer 2 MORE over the course of this year in order to continue shrinking her tumor while they have the momentum on their side.
THE BAD NEWS
Sadly, these stem cell treatments are not covered by a majority of health insurances; leaving Tori not only to have to worry about her health and well-being, but to also bear the brunt of stressful medical expenses. Each of these treatments costs around $2000 and she needs to pay the balance off in full before she’s able to follow through with scheduling them.
The purpose of this GoFundMe’s is to help her out with paying off these discouraging and exhausting medical expenses, while also providing funds to help her out with living expenses and securing her peace of mind so that she can continue putting all of her strength and energy into fighting off the tumor and reclaiming her life and sense of self.
Now — previous fundraising pages have been created on her behalf and have helped her out EXCELLENTLY with her living and prior medical expenses. Honestly, there’s really no way of ever saying “THANK YOU” enough to the generosity and kindness shown by all of the lovely people who helped her find a little light in such a dark time of her life.
