Help Spike the Tortoise!
Donation protected
Spike, a 15-year-old African-spurred tortoise is currently under the care of doctors at Shively Animal Hospital. He lives at Wayside Christian Mission and is seen around town (downtown Louisville) on his daily walks.
Nina Moseley with Wayside says a car hit Spike yesterday (June 20th) along Jackson Street in their parking lot.
Spike was dragged for six feet and he got wedged under her car.
The police came and jacked up the car to get him out, then he was taken to the animal hospital with a police escort.
The Hospital says he had surgery and remains in critical condition. His shell is cracked, and he's lost a lot of blood -- and it could be several weeks before they know if he'll survive.
This fund is set up to help Spike with his medical bills that hopefully lead to a full recovery.
All monies will be given directly to Spike's owners Mr and Mrs Moseley. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
I will be personally responsible for getting the funds raised to the Moseley family in person. The funds will be drawn off the bank account attached to this campaign and delivered to Nina personally.
Spike has a long road ahead - please make sure to help in any amount you can and share the link across your social media outlets. Thoughts and prayers for Spike.
