Richard Leinert Cremation fund

My name is Cathy Leinert. I am Rich's ex-wife. Our break-up was amicable and we remained good friends over the years. Rich was known to many in the Mystic area as a humble, unassuming soul who was a blessing to many friends. He warmed everyone's hearts with his humor. He gave freely of his time to help others but did not want to accept charity to help him. He loved animals and donated his time and even what little money he had to help animals in need. He worked hard painting boats in the Mystic area to make ends meet. Several years ago, he sucessfuly battled cancer, without health insurance. This wiped him out financially and left him penniless. He couldn't afford health insurance after this. He was recently hospitalized end of May with heart disease and came home and suddenly passed away June 16. Funds are needed immediately to pay for his cremation. This means so much to me because Rich was one of the kindest souls I have ever known and a true gentleman to all. He was a struggling Veteran and and deserves the dignity of a cremation service with those who loved him. I know Rich touched the hearts of very many who would like to donate to this cause.
