FFW-LGBTQA Support Homeless Youth
Donation protected
***LGBTQA Community works to help ALL homeless kids. Care Closets at Tarrant Co. schools save lives!
THE BEST RESPONSE FOR INCITING OUR DEATH IS TO EMPOWER OUR LIVES. WE get to choose how we respond. Fairness Fort Worth and our local LGBTQA Community aim to do that proactively and assure that our most at-risk youth, our homeless and couch-surfing students, have clothing and more that they need to survive, be safe and stay in school. Sadly, 40% of homeless youth are LGBTQ; however, we mean it when we want ALL kids to succeed.
We've spent three months successfully looking after the needs of displaced and disenfranchised kids when others gave nothing but lip service. What better way through the summer for us to show our strength through current adversity than to pay our blessings forward for the school year starting shortly. There are four Care Closets serving homeless youth at area high schools and more are desperately needed. We’ve designed three ways to embrace everyone’s gifts.
1. All funds up to that amount will go to current Care Closets and help finance creating more of them. WE CAN DO THIS!!!
2. Celebrate your own blessings by donating your gently used, age appropriate clothing + new toiletries! Send an email to [email redacted] and we'll arrange the drop off. Bag it or buy it – and bring it!
And 3. We’re collecting contact info for those willing to donate their time & talents to prepare Care Closets over the summer for the next school year. Send your info to [email redacted].
Fairness Fort Worth, Inc. is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. TAX ID: 27-0877985. All donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Should we galvanize this energy and raise more than the 10K goal, additional funds will go into FFW coffers to advance other community needs that have been on the back burner far too long. It’s time to build. Please join us as we turn tragedy into a living testament of who we truly are – an integral, contributing part of the fabric of Fort Worth.
