Helping our Superman

Hi, My name is Alyssa Padron and Im fundraising for my dad, Carlos Padron. On March 12th my family and I were told news that has turned our world upside-down. My dad was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer. Having to hear those words is like being submerged into ice water coming up and not being able to catch your breath. I know my dad is a strong man but news like this will knock even superman to his knees.

As a kid, you grow up believing your family is untouchable and then something like this happens you come to the realization that they are not.

I am asking for help, because my father is not able to work, he can't even drive. He has health insurance but now that he will not be working we will need to keep his insurance active and in order to do so we will need to pay it out of pocket so that he does not lose his benefits. This is going to be a long journey and a hard fight and I do not want him to worry or stress about things that are already out of his control.

My father is the most selfless person I have ever met and the fact that this is happening to him is surreal to us. All I want is for him to focus on the fight that lies ahead because I know it will be a big one, but one that he will most definitely come out on the other side victoriously, especially with all the support that so many have shown my family. My dad recently told me he wasn't superman, but he couldn't be more wrong. He is the strongest person I know and he will beat this.
