Isaac Matthews is a 37 year old husband, father of 4 and grandfather to 2. He is a vibrant, smart, fun-loving, outgoing guy. Isaac enjoys playing sports including basketball, baseball, and football. He hikes and spends time playing with his kids. He also coaches youth basketball, baseball and football teams.
Isaac has supported his family working at Oldcastle Precast Inc since 2005. Eager to learn, he worked his way up from a concrete laborer to an equipment operator. On May 27, 2016 Isaac and his family purchased a home. He was the first one in his family to own a home. He was so excited about it, he was giddy. He quickly set about landscaping and making the house his own, creating a great environment to raise his kids.
Two weeks later, on June 8, 2016, during a regular day at work, much like every other day, Isaac was involved in a tragic accident at work. Through no fault of his own his foot was crushed between a piece of equipment and a wall. He was rushed to Sacred Heart Medical Center. They performed surgery that night to remove the front part of his left foot. Unfortunately the damage was too extensive. A couple days later they went back into surgery and amputed Isaac's left leg from the knee down.

Isaac spent a week at Sacred Heart Medical Center and then was released to St. Luke's for rehabilitation. He spent another week there before he was released home. During the next month they will closely monitor his progress and when the time is right he will be fitted for a prosthetic leg. He will go through month's of physical therapy and his life will never be the same.
Isaac and his family need financial and emotional support to get through this difficult time. Their house and vehicles will need to be made handicap accessible and there will be many more unexpected costs. They are not the type of family to ask for charity but anything will be greatly appreciated.
