Help fund Weirdo Zine Fest 2017!

Hi and thanks for clicking onto this page! I'm Kirsty Fife and I'm a cultural organiser, activist and a working class bi/queer zine maker (I make Hard Femme and Move Under Yr Own Power zine).
I organised the first Weirdo Zine Fest at DIY Space for London in January 2016. Weirdo Zine Fest was a space to privilege DIY zines, publications and art made by radical and marginalised voices. Tables were allocated by giving preference to anyone who identified as a woman, queer, POC, trans*, disabled, fat or as any other marginalised identity.
I am hoping Weirdo Zine Fest 2017 will be bigger and better than the first. We hosted about 25 tables last year, and we were massively oversubscribed for tables. This time I’m hoping to host it in a larger and more accessible space, with more exhibitors (up to 50!) and space for workshops/break out sessions, quiet spaces and AN AFTER PARTY!
The costs of running this in the space I want to do so in will be
£225 - venue hire
£600 - table and chair hire
£70 - afterparty venue hire
I’m asking for £300 to contribute to some of the costs of the fest – the other money will come from tabling costs. The event is entirely not for profit and any overfunding for this will go towards free tables for people who can’t afford to pay the fee or a little travel pot for people who need it.
If everyone who came to last year’s fest donated £2-5 we could fund this immediately!
