I am Wayne Lewis Jr. On Fathers day June 19th 2016; I was helping my 70 year old neighbor with haying of his feilds and fell off the Hay trailer towards the balier. Broke my C-2 Bone and c-5, 6 and 7. Doctor has had me in neck brace for 13 weeks and bones are not healing like they should for time to date. Going in for Surgery in two weeks to have my C-2 screwed to my C-1 with a rod to hold what they call the thumb of C-2 in place. This Will stabilze me so I am not At risk of hurting my spinal cord. Then in roughly six months going to have second surgery to Fuse my C-5-7 bones together to stop nerve pain in my arm and fingers. Will take another 6 months to heal roughly. This money raised will go towards co-pays on insurance and lost income while I am healing for roughly the next year. I am self employed and had no disabilty insurance coverage for lost income.
