Valentina's Medical Fund

Hi, my name is Deb, and I'm writing because my dear friend, Valentina Aguilar-Garcia, needs our help. Valentina has been feeling ill and in pain for several months now. When the doctors ran tests, they at first thought that she had cancer; however, they now believe that the spots they see on her liver, lungs, and kidney are "necrotizing granulomas." This is a rare disease where the body has a bacterial or fungal infection that causes inflammation in different body organs and then hardens. The disease is very painful and can be fatal. Valentina has undergone over 80 tests in the past month - blood tests, biopsies, cultures, PET and CT scans. So far, the doctors in NM cannot find what is causing the problem or stop it from advancing. Valentina will soon be going to the Mayo Clinic for help, and this will be quite costly. In fact, steps she has already taken have been quite a financial burden.

Valentina is a kind and very generous person who has helped many others in need - now, it's our turn to help her.
