Family home destroyed due to environmental racism

Hi guys,
I am starting this GoFundMe to help my family rebuild our house after a terrible flood that hit Nashville. I would usually never do this but after the flood several parts of our house were destroyed. The worst part is we received no money from the insurance company because we do not have flood insurance. We don’t have flood insurance because we don’t live in a flood zone. Even in the flood of 2010 that destroyed a lot of nashville right before we moved here this part of town did not flood. The only reason our house flooded is because two years ago( we have lived in this house for 7 years) a development company bought the property next to ours and put four mega mansions right next to our house. They raised the land and built the subdivision on much higher ground than our house. After we would not sell for the price they offered to buy our house. They offered us 700,000 even though we know they were going to build mansions on it and make upwards of 5 million dollars. They rerouted a stream so that all of the water from those houses( in case there ever was a flood) would come directly to our house. And it finally did. We are the only black family on this street and we were not warned in any way that because of their actions we were in danger. Luckily none of us were hurt but now there upwards of 50,000 dollars in damages that we have to pay for in order to fix our house. Nothing happened to any of the mansions and nothing happened to our neighbors house who lives right next door. I love my family, we are good people and I know we did not deserve this. I am making this GoFundMe in order to hopefully ease some of the burden my family now has to go through in order to get our house fixed. Anything helps.
