HELP CHILDREN in SW MADAGASCAR during COVID19

Donation protected
People who know me personally know that I will never ask for any help or favors.

We all going through this weirdest time Together in a different way,  I know it's a challenging time financially for many people, including myself but if you actually stop what you doing at this moment and acknowledge how privilege we are to have the freedom and the chance to have 3 meals a day and have drinking water flowing from the tap...
Today I for the first time in my life ask YOU to help my cause and support these people in Madagascar. PLEASE?

We have it so good in Western society, it’s not fair...
HUNGER is a real thing!

Across the continent, hunger has become a huge concern as the lockdowns in many countries prevent people from earning money. This could cause more hardship in Madagascar than coronavirus itself.

Because of the fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, poverty is rising in Madagascar, already one of the poorest countries in the world.

In the southwest, the loss of tourists, a disastrous dry rainy season, and restrictions associated with the pandemic are adding to rural distress; an estimated half a million people will need food aid in the coming months.

The crisis is casting a shadow of despair pushing people deeper into destitution.

Food insecurity & water access issues badly impact children.

Lockdowns and travel restrictions have disrupted supply chains.

In Toliara, The capital of Southwest Madagascar, markets for essential goods like rice, flour, sugar, and oil in the city have grown further out of reach for residents of surrounding rural areas. Rising prices are putting food out of the grasp of the neediest.

In times of scarcity, people in southern Madagascar fall back on wild cactus

Unfortunately, given the structural fragility of the country's health system and the existence of aggravating factors such as very precarious water, hygiene, and sanitation conditions, COVID-19 was able to spread rapidly.

Chronic malnutrition is unseen, it’s a silent crisis, It’s one of the biggest development issues in Madagascar... This has an impact on the development of the child and the future of the country!

The Covid-19 epidemic has devastated some of the most vulnerable populations in economically deprived areas. Millions of households are facing sharp declines in income

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY APPEAL!! This year I sadly won’t be able to travel to Madagascar but I have a small Team there who live in Toliara, and they are working really hard to make a small difference to these people's lives.

They are currently helping up to 140 children per day, but there is a VERY long list of children needing a meal and support...

My goal is with their help, to give many children in and around Toliara and further northern and southern remote communities access to a nutritious meal, basic health care, and warm clothing to survive life on the streets, it is winter in Madagascar and at night temperature can go as low as 13degrees in the southwest.

We have a long way to go but WE CANNOT just leave these people in such desperation.

To give you an idea, each nutritious meal costs under 50cents, 100 children can get fed one meal a day for $50 AUD

$40AUD covers basic health care for 100 children per month

And $130 for warm clothing

PLEASE DONATE, Every cent count!! A $5 cup of coffee here will feed 15 children, please donate!!!

The government provides ZERO HELP, HUMANITY is their only hope.

I NEED YOUR HELP & SUPPORT!

I hope to keep this help going and growing further for the next 3 months and much longer...

Your generosity will give these children and families a smile and a chance to survive.

From my small team in Southwest Madagascar, The Children and myself, Thank you in advance for your support!

In any circumstances, A little help goes a long way!

Which brings me to share with you my favorite quote:

”As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person”.

PLEASE SHARE
This help is not possible without your generosity and kindness!
In the end, it’s not about how much money we make, but what we do with that money...

Misaotra. Thank you. Caroline.
