A New Set of Wheels

Hi, my name Jerome Donovan German and I am 32 years old currently living in Charlotte, NC! Here’s my story: I have a condition called cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia), and I was diagnosed with it at 18 months old. Because of this condition, I have to use a wheelchair and crutches to get around. Despite my condition, I’ve always took pride in being independent. Every day I commute to and from work, but I manually have to get out and take my wheelchair in and out of the trunk, as shown in the attached video. As you can see, this is very time consuming, and potentially unsafe. The car that I currently drive is my dad’s car, but unfortunately it is not equipped to accommodate my wheelchair. My goal is to raise enough money to purchase to a van that I can have converted for my wheelchair and whatever else I may need.
