My name is Mohamed and I live with my family in the north of Gaza City, "Jabalia," and in the simple life I lead there. My life was normal, filled with dreams and ambitions.

On November 11, 2023, (35) days after the start of the war in 2023, our lives turned into a nightmare. Our home was destroyed in a horrific attack, and my family and I miraculously survived death. I carried in my heart the hope that faded.

My family and I sought refuge in the south of Gaza, "Khan Younis," hoping to find a safe place.

On one night, December 19, 2023, the event that changed my life forever occurred. My family and I were attacked for the second time.

One day, I slowly opened my eyes and found myself lying on a bed in a hospital room. I looked at my body with dismay, and when I reached my hand, I felt pain deep within my soul. My right hand was amputated, and my right leg was missing. I lost my father and three sisters in that horrific attack. I knew they would never see me again, but I wanted to tell them that I would never forget them. That night was the worst in our lives, and this tragedy left a permanent scar in our hearts.

A few days after I left the hospital, my surviving family members and I sought refuge again in Rafah, hoping to find safety once more in southern Gaza. Unfortunately, Rafah soon became a target as well. The attacks forced us to flee from the center of Rafah to the west, but violence pursued us. In a desperate attempt to find safety, we bought a tent and went to western Khan Younis.

I live with the remaining members of my family in a tent, displaced and terrified, facing constant threats of bombardment. The suffering continues, and there are no means of living. There are no prosthetics in my city, and I cannot afford to buy them, as they are too expensive. I cannot do anything.

I cannot do anything for my family because I am amputated from the hand and leg, I am no longer as I was...

I could not leave Gaza because the cost of leaving for one person is $8,000, and I do not have this amount.

I hope for prosthetic limbs for my hand and leg so I can walk again, and I need to have surgery on my right ear. I need to travel and get out of Gaza with my remaining family away from suffering, where I can walk again, continue my treatment and dreams, and live in safety and peace. My family and I.

To save your life, you have to pay a high price. I had many ambitions and dreams that I intended to achieve.

Therefore, I feel very ashamed when I ask you to help me with anything, even if it is simple. It means a lot to me.
