World University Climbing Champs

Who am I?
My name is Martin Kuhnel and I am an 18 year old student at the Colorado School of Mines. I just finished my first year as an engineering physics major and have achieved the honorary Dean's list. On top of my studies, I am also an avid rock climber. I have been climbing rocks for over half of my life. Most of my time outside of school work is spent training or going on trips outdoors. It is my life's passion to climb around the world and climb the ranks of competitive climbing.

What's this money for?
This October, the very first University World Championships for sport climbing are being held in Shanghai, China. By placing in second at the collegiate sport climbing Nationals, I was invited to represent both the Colorado School of Mines and the USA at this event. However, funding is limited and the trip will be costly. I am attempting to raise enough money to cover most of the expenses, including plane tickets, living costs, registration for the event, and a Chinese visa.

Everything helps!
It would be an honor to make it to this event and do what I love in the name of my great school. Any contribution is extremely appreciated! I will personally thank any sizable donation to this cause. Thank you for your support.
