My name is Kamilo Bustamante,
I want to begin by saying photography is my life, my number one passion! Ever since I got my first camera in high school, it has been my way to communicate my vision with those around me, explore my creativity, and earn a living. It has long been my dream to be a professional photographer; which inspired me to pursue a formal education from Brooks Institute, beginning in 2013. I have been working really hard over the past three years to turn this passion into a carer and I am excited to say I will be graduating next April. Most recently I have been offered an unpaid internship position with Annie Leibovitz ; a photographer with one of the most influential visions in the industry today. I believe it is pivotal in my education and career to learn from her; and I find myself willing to use everything I have to make this opportunity happen! (Including my life savings.)
The internship requires that I move to New York for then next 4 months and that I am responsible for all my own living expenses. Unfortunately my savings wont be enough so I am humbly asking you to be a part of my dream by donating what you can. I came up with my goal of $8,000 by carefully calculating the cost of my travel, rent, transportation, utilities, and food. I want you to know that I will be eternally grateful for any amount you feel compelled to contribute; and in thanks I will send you a dedicated, signed, 8x10 photograph of mine.

I am hoping to reach my goal by August so that I can solidify all of my living logistics in time to begin the internship. With dedicating my life to photography, I strongly believe this is the next step in my journey and I have never wanted something so bad in my life.
