On 4/15/21 Joan, Jeff, and Jasmin were involved in an accident while riding their motorcycles. They were rushed to Harborview Medical Center where they received care for their extensive injuries.
I am heartbroken to say that Jeff was unable to overcome his injuries.
Jasmin has been treated and discharged for less extensive injuries as she was on the back of Jeff’s bike. We are extremely thankful she is alive and home resting.
Joan has undergone one surgery so far for the significant damage she sustained to her left leg, and she's being watched closely as they attempt to stabilize her condition. She remains intubated in the ICU under sedation as they monitor her condition. Their primary goal is to stop the bleeding. Secondary to life-sustaining care, Joan's leg and ankle were badly fractured and are structurally unstable at this time.
If you would like updates on Joan’s status| Please follow Caring Bridge for these updates as an alternative to contacting the hospital directly.
The medical professionals caring for Joan need to be able to focus their efforts on her care.

Please keep their family in your thoughts, prayers, good vibrations; whatever positivity you believe in.
This fund is being set up for whatever their family may need, be it medical, funeral, healing etc.
Jeff was Joan’s person. If you knew them, you know what I mean. When she wakes up, she will be devastated.
I am thankful to know they spent the beautiful sunny day together, doing what they love and living life together, on one of their many adventures.
