Help Cassie Get Back on Her Feet!

Donation protected
If you know Cassie, you are lucky enough to know how fun, loving, loyal, vibrant, caring, adventurous, and selfless she is. She is one of those people who is always there, no matter what. Well, right now, she needs us.

Cassie was on a much deserved vacation, enjoying some surfing lessons, when she experienced sudden onset weakness and lost feeling in her legs. She has been diagnosed with a very rare condition called Surfer’s Myelopathy, basically a stroke of the spinal cord. She is currently admitted in the hospital in Maui and she is paralyzed from the waist down.

Surfer’s Myelopathy
is rare enough that there is no clear treatment. The most important thing will be making sure that Cassie is able to recover in a place where she has support, and also where she can receive intense rehabilitation.

Cassie is a college student. She is studying to be a teacher. She has a bright future ahead of her. This should be a bump on an otherwise long, scenic journey of her life. In order to allow her to focus on recovery, we are hoping to raise enough money to get her home from Hawaii and into a rehab facility near her family.

Anything helps. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing her story.
