Hello,
My name is Kevin Patterson of Lake Wales, Florida. My 21 year old son Brendan Patterson was killed in a motorcycle accident 4 weeks ago when a careless driver pulled out across the road in front of him. He was unable to stop and died at the scene from massive trauma. He was on his way to work as a popular guide at a zipline park.
His mother and I held a memorial service for him at the Prince of Peace church in Clifton Park, NY where he spent many happy years attending church services and participating in numerous church activities.
He was a supremely kind and loving person who people saw as giving and helpful to those around him in need or who he could offer comfort to.
His family has been devastated by the death of Brendan who will now never get the chance to live out his hopes and dreams. It is all we can do to get through the day which is filled with constant thoughts of what his life was and what now will never be.
We, of course, all thought he had many years ahead of him and so life insurance was not in place as it should have been. I also recently changed my job at Disney and was in the process of securing a new position which was to start soon. But that meant a significant gap in income at a time when we were hit with overwhelming costs associated with his passing. I never imagined that the costs would mount up so quickly and from so many different sources. For that reason I turn to you, our worldwide community seeking help in paying some of the costs of this terrible loss to our family. We will bear the heartrending sorrow of losing our son and brother. We humbly seek your help in paying for the costs of laying him down for his final rest. Thank you for anything you can give.
