Her world was shattered when her 8-year-old daughter, Caloni, was tragically taken from her in a DUI accident on a fateful Saturday, just shy of a mile away from their home in Atwater, California, following a visit to Yosemite National Park. The impact of this devastating loss has rippled through their lives, affecting not only Ruby but also a close-knit circle of family, including great-grandparents, grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and even their beloved pets.

Ruby herself remains hospitalized with multiple fractured ribs and minor liver damage. The permanent emotional strain compounds the physical pain, and the weight of these challenges is intensified by the financial burden she now faces. As she navigates the path of grief and healing, they do so with unwavering bravery, but the journey is one they cannot undertake alone.
