CULRFC's Battle Against Parkinson's Disease
Donation protected
Welcome to our page.
Parkinson's is a devastating progressive neurological disease which affects more than 10 million people worldwide. Despite its prevalence in older populations it also affects 1 in 20 individuals that are under 40. There is both a large social and financial cost for individuals and our economy and our hope is to raise awareness of this debilitating disease as well as help reduce that burden. Many of our players have been impacted by Parkinson's in one way or another and over the next few weeks we hope to share their stories and experiences.
We will be completing a 2k run every hour for 24 hours on Sunday 16th of May. In the UK every hour two people are diagnosed with Parkinson’s and our club wants to raise some money to support them..
The challenge will be a gruelling one and so any donation means a lot to every one of us. To keep you up to date with how the runs go, we will be posting videos and pictures on our social media- so go check them out.
Thank you for visiting our page and any donation given! We are so grateful for your support as will many people across the UK.
