Bikes for refugees

I am helping some local volunteers in the Lowell, MA area gather and repair donated adult and children's bicycles to be distributed to refugee families in the Spring of 2017.  The distribution of bikes, helmets, and locks will be done by a nonprofit organization with many years experience working with the immigrant and refugee community.  While they have their hands full getting shelter, clothing, and services to newly arrived refugees, the volunteers are getting bikes, helmets, and locks.
We have a budget of $700 for 40 adult and 40 child helmets ($500), 40 locks ($100) and necessary repair parts ($100), and would like to complete funding in 90 days.
These bicycles will provide mobility, exercise, and an introduction to New England Spring for our new neighbors!
We are so grateful for your contributions, but the refugee families' gratitude will outshine ours.
