Team Garrett, No One Fights Alone!

Donation protected
Garrett was diagnosed with leukemia on Tuesday, March 1st in the wee hours of the morning. It shattered our world to hear those words. He had just had his 18 month check up along with his regular 18 month shots. He ended up with a fever that night and the doctor said that was common with shots. He continued to have a fever the next day and was just laying around instead of being his normal active self. The doctor still said "its common with shots" and to just keep an eye on him. The following day he didn't want to do anything, he just stayed on the couch all day and was very uncomfortable. At this point there wasn't anything we could do to make him feel better. We were already giving him Tylenol and he still had a fever but this day we noticed bruises appearing on his back and legs for no reason. He became very pale and started to get little red dots in a few places. We weren't waiting any longer for the doctor and took him to the emergency room. The doctor came in and told us that our sweet little boy had leukemia, and it would be at least 3 years of chemotherapy. It was the worst news to hear. We were devastated. Garrett is the youngest of 4 children. This is the beginning of a very long road for Garrett and his family. That means missing work for his parents, food, expenses, driving to back and forth to the hospital. Any donation that you can provide will greatly help Garrett's family with getting him the treatments that he will need during his recovery.
