Sandy's Stage 4 Breast Cancer Life
Hello, everyone!
My name is Sandy Carpio and on March 14, 2011, oddly my 46th birthday, I was diagnosed with stage 3c breast cancer. On March 29, 2011, I had a radical bilateral mastectomy. I had 22 lymph nodes removed, 17 had tumors, some with tumors that were 2 cm in diameter. I also had, a 9.5 cm tumor in my left breast and a tumor under my breast bone. 18 tumors were removed and 1 was left for the chemo to get. On July 12, I had another tumor in my right arm. I have had several chemo and radiation ttreatments. I will have have chemo treatments, every 3 weeks for the rest of my life. I am now 51, and still fighting for my life. All of these treatments have taken a toll on me and unfortunately, I have been unable to work as a result.
I recently came out of a negative situation, with my ex-boyfriend, and have been left with bills I can no longer afford on my own. I've been living on a VERY limited and fixed income for several years now, and it's been difficult but I do what I can to get by,
I've reached out to several agencies around Northern Colorado, and I don't qualify for the type of help that I need. So now I must humbly ask for help getting back on my feet. Whether you can afford $5 or $100, please know how much I appreciate your help.
Thank you so much for listening.
Much Love
Sandy
