Flood Recovery for Twyla's Mom
Donation protected
Many of us know and love soprano Twyla Robinson. She is a generous and loving soul who never hesitates to help others. Now she needs our help. Her 74-year-old mom Dianna has lost everything in the August 2016 floods in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
Twyla says, "What she has left won't fill a car."
Imagine your home and belongings of a lifetime gone, overnight. The shock and devastation. Not only are you lacking in the basics, but a lifetime of memories ... the piano you bought when you were 14. Your children's old toys. Photos of loved ones and happy times. Irreplaceable. Heartbroken. Overwhelmed.
74 years old.
Singers and anyone else who is moved to help one of our own, I am asking you to donate $5 --- less than the price of a fancy coffee --- and more if you can. None of us are made of money but most of us can buy a Starbuck's from time to time, and if enough of us do it, that $5 makes a big difference.
100% of this money, less the nominal fee GoFundMe charges, will go directly to Twyla's mom via Amazon.com gift cards and PayPal. It is needed immediately. As soon as we hit goal, I will withdraw these funds and send them to Twyla's mom via PayPal.
Social media makes it easy for us to reach out, but it also makes it easy for us to scroll by. I hope you won't scroll by the pictures of the devastation in Lousiana. Please put yourself in these people's shoes and reach out a helping hand to the family of one of our own. As artists, we have chosen a hard life and one that needs a lot of support from our families --- and from others. This is one of those "pay it forward" moments. I am doing this for my friend and her mom because people have helped me in the past, and I would want someone to do this for my mom. Wouldn't you?
It might mean skipping a coffee to you, but it will mean the world to Twyla and her mom.
Please donate today.
Thank you,
