Caroline Crushes Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Simone. I've had the pleasure of being one of Caroline's dear friends since our freshman year of high school in Norfolk, VA. No matter the distance between us, our friendship has remained strong, with frequent conversations about life, raising babies, navigating jobs, managing friendships with children, being a caretaker for her father, and just adjusting to her new home in Woodstock, GA. Life can be chaotic!
Shortly after Caroline and her wonderful husband Tyler moved to Woodstock, GA they learned that they were going to be parents. In December 2021, their beautiful baby girl, Emerson Jane, made her grand entrance. And for the first time since I've known Caroline, she seemed to come into her own. Being a mother is her calling, and it is no easy job.
Caroline spends her days teaching Emerson, going on hikes with their 2 furbabies, managing the home, and being the primary caretaker for her father, who suffered from a stroke 5 years ago. Despite a very full plate, Caroline and Tyler are excited for the birth of their second baby girl due on April 16, 2023.
Unfortunatley, this joyful time had a very dark cloud cast upon it on February 3, 2023, when Caroline was diagnosed with Stage 3A breast cancer. This past week Caroline and Tyler have had to communicate this life-altering news to their families, friends, and employer. Needless to say, this week was incredibly hard and is only the very beginning of their long journey to beat cancer, but also give birth to a baby amid chemotherapy, doctor's visits, and being a mother to a toddler.
Chemotherapy is an aggressive treatment that Caroline will undergo to overcome this terrible disease. The therapy will not only make her weak, but will also impact her immune system, causing her body to be susceptible to other illness. As such, she may not be able to be around her children for some time.
Please join me in helping Caroline Crush Cancer. Funds will be used for:
Childcare , Meal delivery for the family, and ongoing therapies post chemo.
Post cancer Caroline hopes to celebrate the wedding she didn’t have (thanks covid), take a honeymoon with her husband (also, thanks covid), and spend all the remaining time snuggling her baby girls.
