Gunns Plains Caves - Flood Damage
Donation protected
Hello!! I'm Chris and I live in Gunns Plains and help out at the caves when I can.
Today the river and creek has risen yet again, and it was just 5 weeks ago that the caves were flooded causing loss of income and damage to lights and electricals. The caves cannot operate and show their magic without these lights and electrics, so it is important to have this done as quickly as possible once flood waters recede. This can be a considerable cost. All money raised will go towards the checking of electricals by an electrician, replacing lights and general cleaning, which has come so soon after the recent floods.
Geoff and Trish are two of the most generous and caring people I have met in my life, always the first to offer help and support in times of need as well as keeping the caves running to amaze guests that come to visit us.
At present I am not able to physically help them due to medical issues, yet they are always making sure I am ok and can get to my radiation treatment in Burnie.
To help them by setting this up and taking even a little of the financial pressure off to restore the magic of the caves, is the best I can give them in return at the moment. It is little compared to what they have given me and this community.
Please give what you can. Every little bit helps.
regards,
Chris
