Funeral Expenses for Chris Anderzak

Donation protected

I am devastated to write about the passing of Chris Anderzak. This is something I never in a million years imagined I would be doing…

Chris has always been one of the kindest, wittiest, and funniest people I’ve ever known. I’m sure that everyone he’s met has loved him. He is many things to many people… For me, he’s been like a second brother for the past 37 years. My family met Chris and his family through gymnastics. Chris was an amazing gymnast and traveled the country to compete on the same team as my brother, John. As we traveled the country, our families became very close. Chris and John were great friends, Chris’ sister, Erin, became my lifelong best friend, and our parents also became close friends. I can’t even imagine life without Chris in it and I don’t want to think about his family without him.

To Chris’ family, he is everything. To his wife, Heather, he is a loving husband. When he proposed to Heather, he also proposed (and bought a ring) for her daughter, Riley, promising to love her and be her step-father. To Chris’ mom, he is still her beautiful baby boy. She was by his side through his whole horrific final struggle, and all she saw was her little boy, suffering. Chris and his dad ran a machining business side by side for the last 25+ years. To his sister, Erin, he was her first best friend. They have always been extremely close and she is destroyed by this. Chris is idolized and adored by his younger sisters, Dallys and Presleigh. As an uncle to Jacob, Chris is his friend, mentor, and father figure after his dad left. As an uncle to Tyler, he is always there to play video games and talk about fishing or sports. To his Uncle Timmy, Chris is a best friend.

Chris was diagnosed with Stage 4 Testicular cancer in 2017. He fought a tough, horrible battle. Everyone was so ecstatic when he finally overcame his battle and beat cancer. Nobody realized that was only the beginning of his struggles. Following his cancer, he has had multiple surgeries, some life-threatening. He has had terrible side effects to medications... Multiple infections… Numerous extended hospital stays. Recently, he was hospitalized and the doctors weren’t sure what was wrong with Chris. They did a biopsy of a spot on his pancreas that in the end, is probably what lead to his death. After leaving that hospital, Chris ended up hospitalized again. He ended up in Septic Shock, most likely from a bacterium that entered his body during that final biopsy. His final battle was truly horrible. He was on life support, ventilator, feeding tube, drains in his abdomen, multiple antibiotics and medications. He would show some progress, made it off the ventilator, only to take a turn for the worst. With one last hope, they performed another surgery, hoping it would save his life. Early this morning, he went into irreversible shock. Chris went to Heaven, surrounded by his family and best friends.

I am asking if you could please contribute, if you are able, to help the family and Chris’ wife with funeral expenses. They want to honor his memory and give him the proper memorial and funeral services he deserves. This will also help with medical expenses and any miscellaneous expenses that may come up. Any amount will truly help the family during this difficult time. Thank you for your love and support.
