Let's Team Up for Terry

Many of you know my mom, Terry Ott.  On April 22, 2022  she was placed in the ICU in the Brownsville hospital due to a massive stroke accompanied by a brain bleed. This caused many complications including full paralyzation on her right side and limited to no speech capabilities. This was a major trial to be thrown her way, and left us all very concerned and worried for her. We were all very grateful and blessed when she stabilized, as the biggest immediate concern was for her well being. At that time she had Bill, Linda, Bob Ott and Teena Ott-Dannels by her side to help as she was transferred to Mercy hospital in Oklahoma for about a month.
Since her discharge, she has continued physical therapy while living with her sister Teena. This has helped her make a lot of progress in many areas including gaining back some feeling in areas of nerve damage and improvements in her speech.
Despite everyone's greatest efforts, the situation has still left a strain on my mom and those of us trying our best to support her. The emotional turmoil my mom is currently bearing as she adjusts to her new life, is incredibly difficult a lot of the time. While she is a strong fighter there is only so much any one person can do though, and sadly this all happened with no health insurance to help her with the financial side of things.
Now we have been faced with a cascade of necessary, but pricey medical expenses. They range all over from the hospital costs, medications, medical supplies, transportation costs. Those only listed a few of the many things now burdening her. If you know her, you know that she has refused to stop fighting everyday to make sure she can continue to be a big part of our lives for a very long time. Try as she might, everyone needs help from time to time, and I want nothing more than to make this even a little easier on her.
This is why I have gone ahead and written to whoever will read, please extend any support you can. We have currently set a donation goal of $10,000 to alleviate some of the stress of this situation. I understand not everyone is in a position to give money. We appreciate anything that you may be able to extend though, be it your thoughts and prayers, a call to say hello to my mom, or even the smallest donation can help more than you may know. I realize I may not reach the full goal of what I'm setting out for, but every dollar truly counts.
Lastly I just want to thank you all for reading this, for your consideration, and for your support in whatever form you may be able to give. Thank you and bless you all.
