Frederick (Freddy) I. Gifford Jr

Fred passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He had been battling a bout of cancer that would end up getting the best of him. His passing was very sudden and there was not much time to make arrangements and get all of the things in order that he would have liked to for his family. Fred had been batteling liver cancer for a few years and close to what we thought was the end he recieved a transplant in May of 2014. Followed by a few minor complications Fred was able to get back to and enjoy all of the things he loved. Working, boating, motorcycles, working on his cars. He even welcomed his first grandson in December of 2014. Doing better than we ever expected he was enjoying this extenion to his life that he fought so hard for. He had followup  scans and for two years they were clean. The doctors came across a suspicious spot that they were able to get under control but a few months later his follow up scan showed a signifigant number of spots and ultimately he was sent home on hospice in June of 2016 to enjoy the time he had left with his family. It happened fast and around three weeks later it took a turn for the worst. He didnt have the time he thought he would have had to get things in order. Fred was always one to give his time and knowledge or posessions to as many people as he could. Care-free, loving, devoted and easy going. With our most sincere compasion, we kindly ask for anything that can help that Fred did not have the time to gather for his loved ones.
