Let's get Emma to Iceland!

Donation protected
Emma is my 9 year old daughter. She has Autistic Spectrum Disorder, affecting her ability to learn, as well as causing difficulties with co-ordination and balance. However, she is a keen and dedicated figure skater, working exceptionally hard to improve in every lesson.

In April 2016, Emma travelled to Glasgow for her first competition, held under the Inclusive Skating system. Despite having just 5 weeks to prepare, Emma took the gold medal in both compulsory elements and the free (figure) skate. This was at level 1.

In July, she competed at Peterborough Inclusive Skating competition, having just 2 lessons to adapt her programme for level 2. Again, she took gold.

Now, Emma has a chance to compete for the level 3 title at the IS Cup in Reykjavik, Iceland, at the beginning of November. This is a superb opportunity for her!

However, flights and accommodation are going to cost around £1,000-1,200. This amount is far beyond my financial ability, which is why I am asking for your help.

To have progressed so far in such a small amount of time is, in itself, a remarkable achievement. To have the opportunity to compete internationally is even more incredible.

Please consider helping us to get our Em to Iceland. She fights so hard to achieve her best, in every lesson. I can't help but feel she deserves this chance to really show her ability, and help her to realise that there is always one thing in which she can excell.
