A Service Dog for Hannah
Donation protected
Conservative cartoonist Glenn Foden (https://www.facebook.com/glenn.foden?ref=ts&fref=ts) and his family had a dream: a trained service dog for his daughter Hannah. With his sudden death in March, the dream was in jeopardy as we struggled to make ends meet in daily life. However, the dream wouldn't die and in July, a beautiful collie, "Rosalee," was donated. The only obstacle that remains is funding for dog training. Rosalee will require specialized training to help Hannah cross the street, find help when she is lost or frightened, provide support when she is overwhelmed, as well as a host of other tasks (I vote we teach her to do the laundry!). To accomplish this training without Glenn, we will need more than a dream. We will need help covering the training that will allow Hannah to explore the community with more independence. As she puts it, "Rosalee will help me be big." Please consider donating in Glenn's memory.
Thank you all for the love and support you have bestowed on our wounded family in the past few months. It means more than you know as we move forward with an empty chair at the dinner table and the break in our hearts.
