Love for baby Nolan
Donation protected
On July 14th, my niece, and her fiancé, Tori and Randy welcomed their second child into the world. A beautiful baby boy - Nolan Ray Wallace. Weighing just 4 pounds 6 ounces and 17.5 inches long. Tori had a healthy pregnancy up until her 36-week ultrasound appointment; it was then that her OBGYN discovered Nolan hadn't grown in 4 1/2 weeks, and that there had been a build-up of fluid around his brain. In light of this development, Tori and Randy were immediately sent to Mary Birch Hospital, which specializes in high-risk deliveries and has one of California’s best NICU units.
Everything seemed to be progressing normally until moments before Nolan's arrival into this world it was at that point that the alarms started blaring notifying Drs that baby Nolan had gone into cardiac arrest. Within a moment the room was flooded with Drs and nurses who were luckily able to extract and revive baby Nolan as quickly as possible. After a short moment with his mom and dad, baby Nolan was then rushed away to the NICU department.
As I write this, baby Nolan is still in NICU undergoing countless tests in hopes of fully understanding what his acute and chronic health issues may be. What we do know right now is that this family has a long road ahead of them.
Randy and Tori live 75 miles away from the hospital, and transportation, living, and medical expenses should be the least of their worries. Tori, Randy, and big sister Maisey are only asking for prayers, but family and friends have decided to set up a fund to help them during this time. If you are unable to help financially, please pray for this amazing baby boy to continue to grow on this incredible journey. No amount is too small.
