Help to raise money for my dad and his partner.

Donation protected
Hi there everyone. My name is Lani Smith, and I am looking to raise money for my father and his fiancé, who has been majorly affected by the storm we had on Wednesday night the 10/06/2021.

2am early Thursday morning, a big white gum tree fell on their home in Croydon where they have been renting for the past few years.
The house was absolutely destroyed and only the back bedroom and bathroom is still standing.
When the tree fell, the roof fell through and the  insulation, roof beams and roof tiles fell on top of my dad and his fiancé trapping them unable to move. My dads fiancé was trapped on his side unable to move, luckily my dad could free his arms to remove some tiles and insulation off of his face and his fiancés face and find his phone to call 000.
The only ambulance and emergency services available was from Bundura, they waited together unable to move under house debris for about 40 minutes in the dark, rain and wind for emergency services to arrive.
The amazing emergency teams used electric saws to cut and pull everything off them both and carried them out the bedroom window on a spinal board to waiting ambulances outside the house.
They were both taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital (under trauma team) in the city, which was around another 40 minutes drive from their home.
Dave (my dads fiancé) has suffered major trauma and anxiety and has a fractured rib and numb legs from being trapped under house debris.
My dad (Adam) has a depressed skull fracture which luckily didn’t damage the Dura (lining between the brain and skull), which has been cleaned and stitched up. He has also suffered major bruising to his hands, chest, arms and upper body and is also very traumatised by the accident.

My dads fiancé, Dave, is living here in Melbourne on a student visa from Thailand, and there is little to no support for him here, as he is not a permanent resident.
My dad is a beloved nurse at box hill hospital and has helped so many people in his career and cannot return to work for who knows how long.
They are both living with me, until emergency housing can be arranged.

If anyone would be able to donate any money to help them get back on their feet and recover we would really appreciate it. The money will be used for new household items, furniture, fridge, a new bed etc, as everything apart from the clothes I could retrieve and their washing machine and dryer was destroyed.
 Thank you ❤️
