Keely and the girls

Alot of you are aware that I have recently been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. I had an initial surgery on June 7th to remove tumors from both ovaries. Never expecting the pathology to come back as malignant. I have connected with the best of the best and I'm seeing Dr Horowitz out of Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. I will be going for pre op appts on July 25 and then scheduled for a full hysterectomy on August 5. This has all been overwhelming on so many levels. The thought of never having another baby kills me. The thought of not being here for my two babies kills me more. It won't be until after the hysterectomy, when they also remove lymph nodes and biopsies from four different locations, as well the the omentum, both ovaries and both tubes. Once the pathology is back on all the organs and biopsies they will be able to stage the cancer and decide what treatment regiment would be best. I haven't told my girls yet. Ava knows cancer and knows that it kills people and I don't want her to have that in her head because I'm going to get healthy and beat this. Of course there's always the what if in my mind. I am just trying not to go there. People keep asking what they can do to help. I've created this page to keep anyone interested in my progress updated as well as to allow anyone so kind and able to donate the option to do so. It's already taking a financial toll on us. I want Mike there for appointments but he doesn't get paid when he doesn't work. I'm not working at all. It's been a difficult time that I think may get a bit worse before it gets better.
