Unexpected Death of a Father and Veteran
Donation protected
Today I am asking for help to cover the costs of the funeral expenses for my father Christopher Glen Prendergast SR.
My father was a disabled veteran of both the Navy and the Air Force. He served in Afghanistan for Operation Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom as a Navy Seabee and again in Kuwait with the Air Force. My father was in the Reserves as long as I can remember and rose up when duty called.
I am thankful towards him for my upbringing. He was supportive during my childhood and development and he gave me many opportunities from buying me my first band instrument, the Saxophone, in 4th grade to camping with me in the Boy Scouts.
He struggled a lot in his later life and it was deeply painful to watch the man who supported me slowly succumb to being one who needed support. His death was swift and unexpected and the little he had left to leave for us is not available for us to access for a minimum of 90 days because of the state he was found in.
The burden falls to my mother, his siblings, and myself and that is why I am asking for support today, to help my family float through this troubled time. Any amount is deeply appreciated, and you will have our eternal gratitude.
Thank you for reading.
