Faith Casey: Heart Transplant Teen Fights Cancer
Donation protected
We have established this fundraiser to help support the Casey Family financially during this incredibly difficult time in their lives. Faith, their 17 year old daughter and heart transplant warrior, has recently been diagnosed with a type of Lymphoma. You can follow along in their Facebook group (The Dancing Heart) for recent updates and read below for a brief understanding of their situation.
“On October 25th, 2020 Faith received her new heart and began her life as a transplant patient. As you all know the blessing of Faith’s heart was a mighty one and we are still so beyond grateful! But with that blessing comes side effects, some of which are more extreme than others. Unfortunately, the more extreme one has presented itself in Faith’s body and she has been diagnosed with PTLD. This is a type of lymphoma that can develop as a result of the immunosuppressants used in transplant patients. This cancer is showing in her neck and chest lymph nodes, as well as markers for this cancer in the nodes of her liver and intestines, and around her heart.
We ask for your fervent prayers as this next journey in sweet Faiths life begins. She is such an overcomer and a warrior in all she goes through!”
