Camilo’s Funeral Expenses

Donation protected

Hello, my father Camilo Abrego is a hard-working man and a very loving father to me, his daughter Stephanie Abrego. In May, he contracted Covid-19. At first, he seemed to be recovering from it but a week later developed difficulty breathing and went to the ER. From there, he was admitted to a local hospital in Clear Lake. Since his admission, he experienced a number of setbacks, including a heart attack, CABG (coronary artery bypass grafting, blood clots and numerous chest tube placements. Unfortunately, my father did not have insurance. As you can imagine, I anticipate his hospital bill to be substantial. My father is a proud man, who always provided for his wife (my beautiful mother, who passed away) and his two children (my brother Christian and myself). He is a proud man who would never ask for financial assistance. However, after discharge from the hospital, he will be transferring to an LTAC (long-term acute care) facility. Here he will undergo physical and occupational therapy. After months of being in the hospital, his muscles have atrophied, and he will need to rebuild his strength. Because of this, it will be months before he can return to work. With the help of a social worker, I was able to purchase an insurance policy that will help with his medical expenses once he is admitted to the LTAC facility.  However, all of his medical expenses beginning May 20 and ending until then are uncovered. Therefore, I have opened upthis GoFund me in the hope that readers may contribute toward his hospital bill. All money received will go 100% toward his hospital and medical bills. If you are not able to contribute, please just share my father’s story. I truly appreciate everyone that has reached out to me or my family and offered support and prayed for us during this extremely difficult time. Please continue to keep my father in your prayers, as Camilo is a very loving man and father and child of God. He has always been there for me, and now I want to be there for him. Thank you for reading my story and for any contribution you are able to give. God Bless you all.
