We have worries big and small. When everything is good with our family we turn small worries into BIG ones. A debt, a broken car, a leak on the ceiling. We go about our lives so busy, sometimes not realizing how truly blessed we are. When you find out that your 23-month old has Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) your world comes crumbling down, but with it also comes the strength to rise from those crumbles and begin a battle of faith and love. On August 19th we ran a routine blood work to find out that our baby was sick. With nothing but hope we went to Memphis St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to knock on their door. They confirmed that Maria Isabella has ALL. Childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many immature lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell). Leukemia may affect red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Signs of childhood ALL include fever and bruising.
Our battle has just begun but we have felt the hand of GOD in everything we have done. We are surrounded by love and support from friends (angels) and even strangers (angels) that have come forth to help and give us strength. Thank you for your support and may God bless you all.
