Jackson's Journey
Donation protected
Starting school is supposed to be one of the most exciting times in a child's life. Unfortunately, instead of preparing to start first grade, my sweet, funny friend, Jackson Branstrator and his mom Rachel will be preparing for him to undergo radiation and chemotherapy.
Jackson had been having headaches, diziness, vomiting and nausea frequently. After having an MRI of his brain, his doctors' determined that Jackson had a tumor on his brain. The tumor was malignant.
Jackson was rushed to Wolfson's hospital and underwent surgery to remove the tumor. Thankfully, due to the wonderful medical team, the surgery was successful. However, Jackson has a very long road ahead of him. He is facing rehabilitation, genetic testing, and surgery for a port. He will still have to have both chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
The Branstrator family is facing a very tough year ahead. They are a loving, close family, and this journey will not be an easy one. They pray every day for miracles. They ask only one thing of their friends: prayers.
The Branstrator's have many dear family members and friends, Rachel is a beloved family member and teacher at a school who loves and adores both her and her son. We have all been searching for a way, any way, to help them. While we must continue to lift them up in our prayers, we have to do more.
The costs of medical bills and medical care are quickly adding up. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning. Jackson's journey will continue for the next year, and his family will need to be by his side. Please continue to help this family with your thoughts and prayers. If you can do more, please contribute to my friends who ask for nothing but prayers. All donations will go towards Jackson's care.
