Support Tarelle's Fight against ALL

I originally crossed paths with Tarelle and his family about a year and a half ago when he was in Dallas for medical treatment. He was 19 at the time and dealing with the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was starting a round of chemo and preparing for a stem cell transplant. After several rounds of chemo and several rounds of total body irradiation he was in remission and ready to receive a stem cells from his brother.

Tarelle received the stem cells and remained In the hospital for about a month. After being released he was instructed to stay in Dallas because his hometown of Killeene was too far if any complications were encountered. His mom and step dad maintained their household in Killeene, while also taking on a second rent bill for their stay in Dallas so that Tarelle could continue his many appointments with his hematology Doctor. Things were going well and after a few months Tarelle was told he could start to travel home some but  he would still need to be in Dallas several times a week to see the doctor.

During this time he began to have medical issues that were oa myster; but after further investigation it was discovered that his cancer had returned.... Only this time it was found in his spinal fluid. His hematologist and family met and decided to plan for more chemo. Treatment for this included chemo through an IV and directly into his spinal fluid, that would later allow for another stem cell transplant.

Earlier this year he completed his rounds of chemo and received a second transplant. Unfortunately within a months time it was found that he had once again relapsed. This time he had to make the decision at the age of 20 to go with comfort care or to continue with more chemo and radiation in hopes to eliminate the cancer again. Tarelle's will to live and strong faith in God led him to the decision to continue to fight.

Throughout the past 2 years of treatment Tarelles mon has been by his side every step of the way. She has supported him and helped him maintain his strength and faith. They have showed nothing but kindness to the staff that has cared for him and even at times helped encourage other patients along the way. His mother is always smiling, thanking the staff and goes out of her way to show appreciation by bringing them meals. Their devotion to God and for each other is beautiful.

Regardless of the struggles they have in their life they remain thankful, thoughtful and positive. His mother Lisa has a lot on her plate and cancer is an expensive disease to treat. I am asking for you to consider donating whatever you can to help relieve Tarelle and his family from some of the burdens on their plate. Finances are always a concern during difficult times and this is/has been a much longer and tougher journey than expected, the last thing they should have to worry about is finances.
