Dacey's Marji's Medical Funding
UPDATE 9-29-16
Dacey is HOME! We are so thankful to have her back!
Dacey was involved in a fatal car accident July 25th of this year, throwing her from the vehicle and killing her boyfriend, Ali. She went through emergency surgery, that day, and then suffered a series of strokes in her left brain the following moring due to a blot clot from her injuries. She was unconsious for many weeks following, and finally came around in late August, and eventually transisitoned into a rehab hospital, and eventually we got her home. Dacey is now disabled (for the mean time!) and requires near full time care, goes to rehab 5 days a week, 3 hours a session. Shes in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. As of last count, the medical bill was well over $600,000.00 and that was only the HOSPITAL stay. Rehab following hasnt even been tallied yet.
Now that Dacey is home, her mom and dad have missed some work, and continue to as we are in the process of caring for Dacey and setting up disabillity and long term care. We are asking for dontations to continue to allow us to be with her and or pay for temporary care when we're working to support the other kiddos. Please consider donating and or sharing Daceys story so that she can have the best care possible!

Dacey Update!
Great news everyone, Dacey is starting to come around! This morning she was awake and has begun following very basic commands (thumbs up, peace sign, smile, kissy faces). She still has a tracheotomy so cannot make much sound or any speech. She has little or no movement on her right side though, certainly because of her stroke. She is completely off any sedation and is on pain mgmt and meds to help reset her sleep cycle. Alexis says shes doing new things by the hour! Thank you all for your continued prayers and hopefully we will have a picture to share with you of her very soon!!!
UPDATE: 8-4-2106
Dacey is still in a coma, and is not responsive. The good news is that her physical condition has improved, and she is now off the ventilator. We hope she will continue to improve so that she can be transported to a level 1 trauma center in Phoenix. Please continue to send positive thoughts, prayers, and moral support to our family. We would appreciate it if you would share this page. Our family still is in need.
Thank you all for your support during this difficult time.
UPDATE: 7-27-16
Daceys condition is getting WORSE. She is showing signs of brain damage, and an emergency CT and MRI were performed this morning revealing that she has had several strokes on the left side of her brain. I have been asked to travel out to Indiana to be with her and Alexis. Please, please consider donating if you can. We are extremely worried about her and need all the help and prayer we can get.
Also, with a heavy heart, I'm sad to inform everyone that Ali, Daceys boyfriend, tragically perished in the accident. He will be missed.
July 25, 2016:
We got the call every parent dreads. We were notified that our little girl had been in a terrible accident in Indiana, and had been flown via Life Flight to a level one trauma center in Indianapolis.
Dacey was on a cross country trip to New York to scout colleges and visit her family with her boyfriend, Ali. They were on their way home, and didnt make it.
Dacey had emergency surgery, In surgery, they removed her spleen, noted lacerations on her kidney and liver, fractured ribs, a punctured lung (causing blood into the lung) and abrasions up and down her left side. Thankfully there have been no signs of head or heart trauma to her. She is currently in Critical but stable conditon in thier ICU unit, and is heavily sedated due to intubation (tube down her throat).
Alexis (Mom) is on her way to the hospital this morning to be with her, and I am staying behind to take care of our boys. We were fortunate enough to get a flight so quickly, but know we are in for a fight. We cannot afford the deductible (8k) for her insurance, let alone losing time from work and travel expenses. We need help ASAP from anyone that can spare anything. Any amount helps, even if its change. We are terrified for our little girl and absolutely need all the help we can get.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the other family involved- and our deepest gratitude for the police fire and ems that were there for them and our daughter in Benton yesterday.
God Bless and Thank You.
