Walker White: The Little Heart That Could

Walker was diagnosed with Hypo-plastic left heart syndrome at 19 weeks gestation. This means Walker was born with half a heart. He has underwent two open heart surgeries, nine heart cath procedures, and countless scans in his four years of life. In 2021 we had to list him for a heart transplant when he was diagnosed with end stage heart failure. On May 8th (Mother's Day) we got the call that Walker had an offer for a new heart. Our little boy is the strongest human I have ever met!! This new step of our journey has required that we move to Denver for anothe 3-6 months to care for our baby boy, leaving behing jobs and family support for the immediate future.
