Arlen Stringfellow Recovery Fund

My name is Angie Bolton. As most of you know, my dear friend Arlen has been in the hospital since May 23rd.
He initially went in for abdominal pain and was found to have a stone. The treatment was
an Endoscopy to remove it.
As a result of this Arlen developed severe Pancreatitis. This in turn caused his Kidneys to shut down and respiratory failure.
He was put on Dialysis, a respirator and medically sedated.
He developed Pneumonia and blood clots near his armpits.
Just last week he had to have a Tracheotomy
After being taken off sedation he is recognizing his family and trying to communicate with
hand gestures.
After many ups and downs over 60 days, he was removed from ICU on July 22nd.
Pam is very hopeful that the Trach will be removed soon and he will be weaned off of the respirator.
He is receiving Physical Therapy every couple of days, and continuing on Dialysis.
The Doctors at Sharp Grossmont have told Pam that his Kidneys might come back but, for every day
he was in ICU is about 10 days of Rehab.
Pam is continuing to run their business "Construction Equipment 4 Less". The volume is much less
without Arlen out selling, but there are orders coming in.
Arlen's recovery will be a long hard journey. His love of life and the people surrounding him will carry
and motivate him.
When I walked into his hospital room recently he gave me a look that I've seen hundreds of times. Although he couldn't speak we communicated. It warmed my heart.
Please join me and help Arlen and Pam in this journey of recovery.
Thank You and God Bless.
