Sigma Nu - EK Chapter House Fund
Donation protected
On January 3rd, 2015, the start of the Spring Semester at UND, the Sigma Nu Chapter House experienced a significant sprinkler pipe burst in the attic of its historic chapter house. The pipe burst unloaded approximately 2500 gallons of water in the attic and down three floors to the basement where it inundated the electrical panels. 21 of our brothers were living in the Chapter House and had to be moved out because the city felt it was unsafe to keep people in the house with the damage and immersion of the electrical panels. The men of the Fraternity started packing up their things and were moved out to temporary residences until more permanent residences could be found for them to continue their studies.
After 17 months of demolition, design, and re-construction, the Chapter house is completed, but the cost of the project to restore this historic building to it previous glory was considerable and left little additional money to support the furnishing of the Chapter house. The purpose of this page is to ask all the alumni of the Sigma Nu Epsilon Kappa chapter, friends, and family to see if they could donate a small amount to help the Chapter house regain the final aspects of its former self through the furnishing of the library, grand room, kitchen, dining room, and chapter room. Our goal is to try and raise this amount before August 22nd (start of school) so the new members who will be moving in can experience the full beauty and majesty of our beloved Chapter house!
Again, any size donation would be appreciated and will help our Chapter and Active members to experience the sense of brotherhood and camaraderie that comes from living in the best Chapter House on UND campus!
